Celebrating 150 years of Gaelic settlers in Quebec 12 April to 20 April Venues in Uist, Harris & Lewis - see prgramme	Celebrating 150 years of Gaelic settlers in Quebec Historical, Cultural and Educational tour of Lewis, Harris and North Uist A group of Québécois from the Eastern Townships, the area settled by Lewis, Harris and North Uist emigrants from the mid-1800s, will be visiting the Outer Hebrides from April 12 to 20, 2010. They will give talks and ‘experience workshops’ to local history societies and school children of all ages. The tour is organised by Grace Notes Scotland and the presentations will be led Margaret Bennett, author of the prize-winning book Oatmeal and the Catechism: Scottish Gaelic Settlers in Quebec.
